Tracy Marcrum is a multi-facited artist who expresses her love for the arts in many different ways: teacher, clothing designer, event sponsor, publisher, and accomplished painter.
Tracy began her love for art at 3 ½ years of age. She started to show and win contests at the age of seven. She sold her first painting in the 9th grade. She studied watercolor techniques under Harmon Davenport for 20 years and then attended the Seattle Art Institute for Graphics Arts.
After completing her education, she worked as a graphic artist for nine years. She worked on the Spindrift for the Tacoma writers club, doing layout and cover art. Worked for Aristos as Art Director and Artist. Worked as a freelance artist for 12 years. Published an authors book "KING of Tumacacor". Worked as the artist for the book "Before the Song" by Joe King.
Moving to Springdale in Eastern Washington with her husband and children, she now lives in a 'rock house' in the woods, which inspired her to do even more. It was here that she began Mother Earth (a series of watercolor paintings, the first four, shown here, have been completed). She founded Steven's County Arts Commision which promotes: Art Fest in the Park, Arts Walk in Colville and Chewelah, outdoor 'rock concerts' for youth in the area, and a Arts Camp for kids in the summer.
Tracy worked for 4 years as an art teacher for Camas Valley School (a private school in Springdale, WA). She currently designs clothing, under her label "VictoriAnn" and continues to paint from her home in the woods, living life to its fullest. Her love for the arts is strong.
